Inspect Attic for Signs of Rodents

Squirrels, birds, raccoons and a slew of other creatures would love to live in your attic. Cute or not, that is a bad idea.

From the outdoors, inspect all openings for screens and for signs like gnaw or scratch marks.

Openings both high and low should be securely screened.

Trees, shrubs and vines provide cover and a path for rodents to attic vents. Keep them trimmed away from the house to minimize rodent access.

Garden areas should have mulch to help retain moisture and to reduce the number of weeds.

Over time the mulch gets blown away and decays. Also mulch can harbor mold and disease causing organisms harmful to your garden.

It is a good idea to replace old mulch with fresh mulch to revitalize the health and beauty of your garden.

This list is provided for your convenience, it is not a comprehensive list of every maintenance item your home may require.
