There have been several generations of processors. The tables below delineate the processor and the year of release. As time progressed, Intel began releasing products that were not so clearly distinguished from each other. For example, Intel released no less than 16 variations of the "Core" CPU, not including the "Core 2" or "Dual Core" lines.
