How To Test the Overload ProtectorContinued from page 2 The overload protector is held in place with a round spring clip. Using a screwdriver, pry open the spring clip and remove the overload protector. Test the overload protector for continuity using a multitester. Set the multitester to the ohms setting X1. Place a probe on each terminal. The multitester should display a reading of zero ohms. If the overload protector does not pass this test, it should be replaced. Page 3 of 3
