How to Check the Door Hinges

The photograph below shows the hinge mechanisms with the door panel removed.

Inspect the hinges for damage or signs of fatigue. Check that the screws securing the hinge mechanisms are not loose and tighten them as necessary.

If the hinges are damaged, they should be replaced. If the door is misaligned, the hinges on some models can be loosened, the door realigned and the hinges retightened.
