How To Clean Stainless Steel Surfaces

Stainless Steel is durable but it isn't maintenance free. To keep your stainless steel looking its best, refer to our articles below for techniques on how to care for your stainless steel appliances and surfaces.

Remember, don't use steel wool scrubbing pads and don't use chlorine bleach to clean stainless steel. Chlorine is a powerful corrosive that will pit and dull the surface of stainless steel. Many household cleaners contain bleach as an active ingredient, be certain to read the label carefully before use on stainless steel. Many people have and do use mild bleach solutions to clean and disinfect, including on stainless steel surfaces. While this practice may be minimally damaging, it is likely causing cumulative damage that over time dulls the beauty of the surface.
